Domaine de Fleury, a fiefdom of the Duché des Ducs de la Trémoille, was a renowned winegrowing area in the 15th century, but in 1962, the last Chenin and Cabernet franc vines known as "Breton" were uprooted, leaving the estate stripped of their vines.
